"Please discuss the skills and tools required to assemble a Comp Air kit-built airplane."

People who build their own airplanes come from all walks of life. Some have extensive previous shop experience; most don’t. Some build at home, some rent T-hangars at their local airport for their projects, and some build their airplanes at a builders’ assistance center. The skills needed to assemble a Comp Air airplane are simple shop skills - most high school shop students will have the skills needed by the time they graduate. Tools needed are simple hand tools. Of course, some basic shop tools like a drill press, band saw, bench grinder, and belt sander make the job easier, but these are not essential.
