"Is the "fast-build" option included with the Comp Air 7 kit?"
No - the wing Fast Build option is NOT included on any of the kits.
Significant pre-assembly is done on the fuselage of CA7, CA8, and CA10 kits, and on CA6 Widebody kits. Explanation: On the standard CA4 and CA6, the fuselage kit has 2 halves (right and left) that need to be joined by the builder with a seam down the center of the airplane. With the "widebody option", a 4" splice is inserted between the two halves prior to joining, and then they are joined together here at the factory. With the Widebody Option, the builder receives a fuselage in which the two halves (including a 4" insert) have been joined together for them at the factory (a $2000 option). This "fuselage fast-build" IS INCLUDED as STANDARD on CA7, CA8, and CA10 kits.
The standard wing kits include molded top and bottom wing skins (with gelcoat finish), spars, hardware, and rib materials. The wing Fast Build option consists of bonding the spars and ribs in place to the bottom skin at the factory. This is NOT included with any of the kits.
